You don't need prior knowledge of Agile or Scrum, the course go beyond the basics of Scrum and the Scrum Master role.

Here's the summary of the different Scrum Master certifications:

Accrediting Body: Certified Scrum Master from Scrum Alliance), Professional Scrum Master from Scrum.org, Registered Scrum Master from Scrum Inc.

Training Duration: All take 2 days, but CSM focuses on basics while RSM and PSM go beyond. PSM requires additional courses for advanced knowledge.

Training Levels: CSM and PSM offer team-level training. RSM and PSM offer additional multi-team certifications (Nexus for PSM, Scrum@Scale for RSM).

Learning Outcomes: CSM and PSM I teach Scrum fundamentals. PSM II adds deeper understanding. RSM covers everything, including Dr. Sutherland's original "True Scrum" concepts and how to build high-performing teams.
